Amber’s Asthma Awareness Run

Saturday, March 31st, 2012

Amber Bice was a local coach, wife, friend, mentor, and inspiration to others.  In May of 2010, a severe asthma attack took her life and shocked friends and family who had always known Amber to be a very athletic and active woman.  Amber’s asthma did not define her.   She learned at an early age to manage it and she lived life to the fullest excelling in music, sports, school and had recently been married to her best friend, Matt, and accepted a new and exciting volleyball coaching position at Carterville High Scool but passed away before having the opportunity.

Amber is still and will always be a blessing to her friends, family and community.  They have come together to raise awareness for asthma through an upcoming 5K and Fun Run on Saturday, March 31st, at the John A. Logan College in Carterville, IL.

The funds raised through the run will benefit the medical and educational support programs at the Asthma & Allergy Foundation, St. Louis Chapter. (Read more of Amber’s bio)
